Halloween Specials
"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble". Halloween is just around the corner and the fun is about to begin. The underlying problem presented to many parents is "Where can my children go on Halloween?". Traditionally Halloween has meant Trick or Treating, going around to the houses in the neighbourhood. In practice this can be more trouble than it is worth. Fumbling along a dark road going from house to house, normally wearing dark clothing is not exactly the safest way to spend Halloween.
Here at the Cavan & Leitrim Railway in Dromod, we offer an exciting alternative. Each year between the hours of 6pm and 9pm we run our Ghost Train. For a small admission fee of IR£3.50 per child, you can ride our Ghost Train which passes through a haunted graveyard, passed Dr. Frankensteins workshop, The Three Witches (Weyward Sisters) who are brewing a vile potion of some sort, and many more spooky scenes. Then if your train survives being attacked headless ghosts and zombies you can then make you way back to the Station yard where there are many activites such as face painting, bonfires, scariest costume contest, kiddies disco and to end with a fireworks display.
