Santa Returns To Dromod

This year sees Santa make a welcomed return to the Cavan & Leitrim Railway this year. As in previous years he is bringing with him a sack full of toys for all the Girls and Boys on his Good List. So if you have been good all year make your way to Dromod for a trip on the train and a visit to Santa's Grotto.

Where & When Do Trains Run?

Trains will be running from the Narrow Gauge station in Dromod between 1pm and 5pm for the first three Sundays in December. Once you have boarded the train, you journey along our 1/2 mile of track in one of our restored carriages. Enjoy the delights as you travel back to the station where you will visit our Tea Rooms.

Here the kiddies can come and visit Santa in his Grotto while the adults can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a snack. The children can give Santa their Christmas Lists and receive a small present to tide them over until Christmas.

Help Us Promote The Santa Specials

As you know, the Cavan & Leitrim Railway is run by volunteers. As such we do not always have the money or ability to run huge marketing campaigns to promote our events. So this is where we ask for your assistance. If you can, please download our poster and put up on the noticeboard in your office, club or ask you local shop to put it in their window.
